Fear |

By Jeremy D. Joy “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).
Fear is one of the most effective weapons that Satan uses against the people of God. It paralyzes our faith and zaps our courage by causing us to worry about the horrible things that might happen. The seeds of fear produce weeds that quickly spread through the garden of the heart. We become prisoners of a wild imagination. How many Christians fail to love because of fear? How many fail to teach others because of fear? How many fail to do good works because of fear? How many fail to defend the truth because of fear? How many fail to be more involved in the work of the church because of fear? There is no excuse for fear in our hearts because we have the armor of God and He has assured us of victory. The question is: will we listen to the voice of God or Satan?
